What Does This Warranty Cover?
Sling Media L.L.C. (“Sling Media”) warrants your SlingStudio backpack against defects in materials and workmanship of SlingStudio backpacks purchased or leased from Sling Media or its authorized resellers or partners and extends only to the original user of such products under ordinary use in accordance with the documentation and/or user manuals provided or made available with your SlingStudio backpacks. This warranty does not cover any separate third-party warranties or agreements. This warranty is valid only in the United States.
How Long Does the Coverage Last?
If your SlingStudio backpack was purchased from an authorized reseller or directly from Sling Media, your SlingStudio backpack is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the original date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”).
What will Sling Media Do?
In the event your SlingStudio backpack is defective and (i) the defect is covered by this warranty; and (ii) the defect arises during the Warranty Period; and (iii) you follow the instructions for returning the defective SlingStudio backpack, then Sling Media will, at our option and to the extent permitted by law, repair or replace your defective SlingStudio backpack with a new or refurbished SlingStudio backpack that is functionally equivalent to the backpack being replaced. This limited warranty will continue to apply to any replacement SlingStudio backpack that we provide, but only for the remainder of the original Warranty Period applicable to you.
How Do You Get Warranty Service?
For specific instructions about how to obtain warranty service for your SlingStudio backpack during the Warranty Period, please contact the Sling Media customer service department at 1-866-974-2570. Proof of purchase may be required to verify eligibility. In general, you will need to deliver your defective SlingStudio backpack in either its original packaging or in equally protective packaging to the address specified by the Sling Media customer service department. Sling Media will pay for shipping of the replacement SlingStudio backpack to your location if all instructions regarding warranty services are followed, but you will be responsible for paying for all shipping of your defective SlingStudio backpack to Sling Media. Before you deliver your defective SlingStudio backpack for replacement, it is your responsibility to remove all items from your SlingStudio backpack. Sling Media is not responsible for any damage, loss or the return of materials that you may have left in your SlingStudio backpack.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover?
You may only exercise this warranty from the country in which you purchased or leased your SlingStudio backpack. Sling Media will not send repaired or replacement products to addresses outside the country in which you purchased your SlingStudio backpack. If your SlingStudio backpack is not covered by this warranty, Sling Media may offer to provide out-of-warranty service to you at Sling Media's then-current rates, which includes the cost to ship a refurbished unit to you that has the same or similar features. This warranty does not cover the following:
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES, AND SLING MEDIA SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL STATUTORY AND/OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS. IN THE EVENT SLING MEDIA CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR REMEDIES, THEN TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANY AND ALL SUCH WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY AND TO THE REPLACEMENT OF YOUR SLINGSTUDIO BACKPACK. Some states do not allow limitations on how long a statutory or implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SLING MEDIA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER INDIRECT DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF, RELATING TO OR INCURRED IN CONNECTION WITH USE OF THE SLINGSTUDIO BACKPACK, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY OR BROUGHT UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL SLING MEDIA'S LIABILITY, IF ANY, EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR YOUR SLINGSTUDIO BACKPACK.
SLING MEDIA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO HONOR THIS WARRANTY IF IT DETERMINES THAT ANY OF THE EXCEPTIONS DESCRIBED ABOVE HAVE CAUSED YOUR SLINGSTUDIO BACKPACK NOT TO HAVE PERFORMED PROPERLY.
THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE VOID IF ANY FACTORY-APPLIED IDENTIFICATION MARK, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE SERIAL NUMBER, HAS BEEN ALTERED OR REMOVED. THIS WARRANTY SHALL ALSO BE VOID IF THE SLINGSTUDIO BACKPACK HAS BEEN OPENED BY AN UNAUTHORIZED PERSON.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state in the United States. To the extent that this limited warranty is inconsistent with local law, this warranty shall be deemed modified to be consistent with such local law.
Important Safety Instructions
Safety instructions are included on and/or with the SlingStudio backpack. It is your responsibility to read and abide by all safety instructions, including without limitation, keeping the SlingStudio backpack away from small children.
Important Note: Your SlingStudio Backpack may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer.
