This can be a common problem with HDMI video sources. It’s because of a "negotiation" that has to happen between the video source and its destination, with one side using a different color space from the other. This can lead to distorted color.
Fortunately, the solution is easy: Disconnect the HDMI source, the reconnect it again. The color negotiation should reset, and the problem should resolve.
