The SlingStudio USB-C Expander offers two USB inputs, so it might be tempting to take advantage of that to connect more than one USB hard drive or SSD drive to your SlingStudio.
Unfortunately, that’s not recommended. Different hard drives or SSD drives have different power needs, and the USB-C Expander can't reliably offer the energy needed to power more than one hard drive or SSD disk at a time.
This is especially a concern given the intensive disk access needs of encoding multiple video inputs. For that reason, you should not connect more than one hard disk storage device to the USB-C Expander at a time.
